The Student Council of college is a representative body of the students which ensures their participation in the decision making regarding significant issues of their own interest, thus bridging the gap between the administration & the students, the stakeholders. A body of Student Council has been set up on the direction of District Magistrate since 2012. During the session 2016-17 student council has been elected from the candidates who contested the election held in the college. Earlier office bearers of student council were nominated by the faculty members but from the last year to inculcate Leadership qualities, to build democratic spirit and to create an understanding of the electoral process the student council has been set up through the process of direct election in the session 2016-17. The students voted through the system of secret ballot. The student Union elections have been banned in the state for the past few years. Hence, student council was set up for the purpose. They serve as a link between the students and the college authorities. They take up students problems and bring them to the notice of the competent authorities of the institution for their redressal.
